The engine ships with oil already filled to the correct level. A spare quart of SAE 30 is included in the owner kit for your first change.

Overall, this was a very good experience and I got to make the purchase from our local merchant. The biggest challenge was that no one has a riding mower to see before you buy. I tried big box stores as well as Ace and everyone makes you buy first. I understand why this happens in this modern world but it still sucks. In the end, I'm happy and Ace is THE Place.

The only things I don't like about the tractor is the placement of the gas tank and the amount of gas it holds. About the time I get started goon on mowing, I run out of gas. Needs a bigger gas tank and it needs to be somewhere else on the tractor.
